CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA MILITARY INSTITUTE - SU55 - CS307 - 20mm  B/M Scovill Mfg. CO.  Waterbury - RMDC . Crossed saber and feather pen with Charlotte & N.C. respectively above and below with the 'M' 'I' on each end of the crossed saber & pen. Minor peppering on areas of surface but in very good condition. Good Southern School pre-War button.

MISSISSIPPI INFANTRY - DUG  MP4A - 21mm   B/M  "Hyde & Goodrich NO" RMDC . Classic battlefield find. Recovered from Georgia I was told. Face is pushed flat, with gilt left only in the 'I' of the star. On the reverse, the shank is bent and a very good amount of crust which makes the backmark hard to read. Metal is solid and for a dug button, in fair condition but a Mississippi nonetheless.

NORTH CAROLINA - DUG  NC8C - 22mm  B/M - Depressed Channel with Raised Five Point Star . Shank is the late War sheet metal style. Front has push in middle and traces of gilt left in protected areas. Metal is solid and for a dug button is in good condition.

KENTUCKY MILITARY INSTITUTE - SU192   CS321 - 21mm  -  B/M - W.H. Horstmann & Sons   Phi.  -  RMDC. Patterned after the State Seal - shows two men shaking hands (United We Stand-Divided We Fall) on a plain field with 'K' to the left, 'M' between the men and 'I' to the right. Good honest amount of wear to high relief areas.
