DISCHARGE - 9TH MICHIGAN INFANTRY - Discharge of Private William H. Sheffield, Company K, 9th Mich. Inf. Dated May 15, 1865.  Sheffield was only in for three months almost to the day when he was discharged for disability. Paper has a brownish coloring and has several stains but is sound. Ink is dark and not hard to read as some discharges can be.

3RD IOWA CAVALRY - Document showing items charged to the United States by a local civilian for services and items used by the 3rd Iowa Cavalry. Written in period ink on blue paper. Document is in very good condition.

ENROLLED MISSOURI MILITIA DOCUMENT - 1862 dated letter more so than a document from the Commissary of Franklin Township of the Enrolled Missouri Militia concerning the farmers being able to house their tobacco and wheat before delivering them to the army. Written in period ink, very good condition.

BERDAN SHARPSHOOTERS MUSTER ROLL - 2ND U.S.S.S. - How rare is this? Co. K 2nd U.S. Sharp Shooters muster roll for the period 12/31/62 to 2/28/63 and signed by Maj. Stoughton.  20 5/8" x 21" lacks only the column which had soldier's signatures. Remarks column lists many in the Hospital.  55 soldier's names in all. Very Nice Condition but has separation at some of the folds which is being repaired with archival tape (this tape will barely be noticed on the back side).

BERDAN 2ND VERMONT SHARPSHOOTERS ALLOTMENT
ROLL
- Dated February 19, 1862 this 18" x 22 5/8" document lists 9 members of Co. H, Second Regiment Berdan's Sharpshooters of Vermont and their allotment from their pay. Very nice condition with some staining and foxing. Has several places of separation at the folds.

DISCHARGE FOR MEMBER OF THE 28TH REGT. BATTALION - OHIO NATIONAL GUARD - Large format discharge approx. 10" x 14". Discharge is for John Lehman of Company F. Document has several large bright waterstains as can be seen in photos.

24TH MICHIGAN ( IRON BRIGADE ) LETTER FROM SURGEON - Dated just a week after Robert E. Lee's surrender, this note from a surgeon certifying the death of John Hewons of the 24th Michigan Infantry Co. K. Never Saw action as he enlisted in February, 1865 and died two months later of disease. Document is in very good condition.

CONFEDERATE GENERAL ORDERS - WHEELER'S CAVALRY CORPS - Difficult to obtain, field printed Confederate General Orders dated February 10, 1864 from the Head Quarters of Gen. Wheeler's Cavalry Corps. Contents relate to School of Instruction for the officers. General Orders No. 2 . ( 5" x 7 7/8") Document is waterstained and is missing a section of the upper right hand corner (does not effect the text).

1ST MICHIGAN ENGINEERS & MECHANICS FURLOUGH DOCUMENT - Dated January 6, 1863 made out for Cornelius Engle for a seven day furlough. These don't often come up as they were thrown away after the furlough was over. Has been folded 4 times over for easy carrying by Engle. Some foxing but in sound condition.
